There’s something a little sweet about Drift 🤍

Our Spring collection began its life before Bam Loves Boo changed hands. The prints had already been dreamed up and the first pieces designed by Hannah, ready for the next stages of bringing a collection to life.

Together with Han, we worked through Drift piece by piece, deciding what felt right for the final collection. From there, we took the reins and saw it through its final stages: samples arriving, quality checks, final details, photoshoot planning and eventually one very early morning by the sea bringing the whole thing to life.

Drift also happens to be the last collection that began with Hannah, making it a lovely little meeting point between Bam Loves Boo’s past and everything still to come.

And after quietly living with these pieces for months, Drift is finally here.

So now that you’ve met the collection, we wanted to share a little more of the story behind it.

Made for the shift into Spring

When it came time to create the world around Drift, we kept coming back to that first little shift into warmer days.

Slow mornings. Salty air. Sandy feet. Little people finding their way back outside after winter.

It shaped everything from the colours and styling to our shoot with Ebony Restall, captured one early morning by the sea.

Drift was made to feel easy, nostalgic and a little windswept. The kind of clothes that move from home to beach, backyard to afternoon adventures and everywhere in between.

A soft, coastal palette

Drift brings together sandy neutrals, soft sage, blue and warm tan, with stripes and some of our much-loved beach-inspired motifs woven throughout the collection.

They’re colours designed to work together rather than compete, making it easy to mix Drift pieces with each other and with the favourites already living in their wardrobe.

There’s also a familiar face hiding amongst them.

Our much-loved Kailani print returns in reverse, giving an old favourite a completely new feel for Spring.

Familiar softness, new season

Our signature bamboo + certified organic cotton blend is at the heart of most Bam Loves Boo pieces, and it's no different for our Drift collection.

Buttery soft, breathable and stretchy, it’s made for the realities of little people wearing, washing and loving their clothes over and over again.

Because when something sits against their skin all day (and often all night), what it’s made from matters.

From sleepy mornings to sandy afternoons

Drift moves between sleepwear and everyday dressing.

There are short-sleeve PJs for warmer nights, a matching zip jumpsuit and swaddle for the littlest ones, plus easy tees and striped shorts made for wherever the day ends up taking them.

Look a little closer and you’ll find the details we love most: contrast binding, shell and beach-inspired artwork, stripes and little motifs carried around sleeves.

Nothing too precious. Just thoughtful pieces made for real childhood.

A collection between chapters

There’s something special about seeing Drift finished knowing where it began.

Part of it belongs to the Bam Loves Boo that came before us. Part of it has been shaped by everything we’ve been learning, building and imagining since taking the reins.

And now it belongs to the little people who’ll wear it.
